The ruins of Doclea, the Roman town that gave its name to medieval Duklja, lie in open fields just north of the city where the Zeta, Morača and Širalija meet. You can walk among the remains of the forum, basilicas and baths in near solitude. Take a taxi, and bring water and a hat in summer.
