A weekend in the mountains: Ostrog and Durmitor
Day one: the cliff monastery of Ostrog, then north to Žabljak. Day two: the Black Lake, the Tara Bridge and the drive home through the canyons.

1Getting to Ostrog
Drive north-west from Podgorica, about an hour.
Day 1, 9:00
2Upper Ostrog Monastery
Arrive early, before the queues.
Day 1, 13:00
3Getting to Durmitor
Continue via Nikšić to Žabljak.
Day 1, 19:30
4Restaurant Podgora
Dinner of lamb, kajmak and cicvara.
Day 2, 8:30
5The Black Lake (Crno jezero)
Walk around the lake in the morning calm.
Day 2, 12:00
6Đurđevića Tara Bridge
The great bridge over the canyon.
Day 2, 15:00
7Morača Canyon
Drive home via Mojkovac and Kolašin through the Morača canyon, stopping at Morača Monastery.
