Smokovac, close to the city, has more than 200 climbing routes across several sectors for beginners and experts, and the Cijevna canyon, 15 to 20 minutes from Podgorica, offers a similar number among dramatic canyon scenery. The Mali Alpinistički Klub Podgorica looks after the routes and can help with guiding. Our advice: climb in spring and autumn; summer is very hot.
