Hotel Podgorica is one of the city’s oldest hotels and its most celebrated building: designed by the architect Svetlana Kana Radević and completed in 1967, it won her a national architecture award, and river stone from the Morača is set into its walls so that it seems to grow from the bank. Its 44 rooms and apartments are full of light, many with views over the river, and the Tri vijeka restaurant has a terrace facing the water. Our advice: even if you stay elsewhere, come for coffee on the terrace and look at the façade from the riverside path.
