About Risto Stijović Gallery
Risto Stijović (1894–1974) is regarded as Montenegro’s greatest sculptor and the founder of its modern art. His gallery, founded in 1970, has since 2018 been in the house where he was born, in the old town. It follows his work through intimate figures and figurines, a kingdom of birds and animals, portraits of friends, figures from Njegoš’s Mountain Wreath and his monumental public sculpture. Our advice: look out for exhibitions in the atrium in summer.
