A primeval forest

About Biogradska Gora National Park & Lake Biograd

Biogradska Gora covers 5,650 hectares of Bjelasica, from 832 to 2,139 metres, with a 1,600-hectare primeval forest reserve of trees over 40 metres tall and up to 500 years old. Lake Biograd, Montenegro’s largest mountain lake, is the heart of the park, with a lakeside path, boats, kayaks, a campsite, cottages and a visitor centre. Our advice: walk the full circuit of the lake, then have raspberry dessert at the lakeside restaurant.
