About Budva Citadel & the churches of the old town

At the seaward tip of Budva’s old town stands the citadel, with views along the riviera, and below it a small square holds several churches, six by the national tourist board’s count, the older ones wrapped in legend. The town is, it adds, more than 2,500 years old. Our advice: climb the walls in the morning and come back after dark when the old town lights up.
