Osmanagić Mosque
Built with the Clock Tower
About Osmanagić Mosque
The Osmanagić Mosque was built at the end of the 18th century by Hadži Mehmed-paša Osmanagić, who also built the Clock Tower; his turbe, or tomb, stands in the courtyard. Badly damaged in the bombing of the Second World War, it lay in ruins until an extensive restoration in 1997. Our advice: visit outside prayer times and dress modestly.
