Flower Island (Miholjska Prevlaka)
A 6th-century foundation
About Flower Island (Miholjska Prevlaka)
Half island, half peninsula, Miholjska Prevlaka is 300 metres long and joined to the mainland by a strip of sand and a bridge. Its monastery of the Archangel Michael was founded in the 6th century and in the 13th century was the seat of the Bishopric of Zeta; the name Flower Island comes from its herbs, palms and olives. Our advice: visit the monastery, then stay for a swim.
