About Stari Bar aqueduct

The aqueduct on the north side of Stari Bar was built by the Ottomans in the 17th century to bring water from a spring about three kilometres away. Its 17 arches of different spans rest on as many massive piers. Our advice: walk round the outside of the walls to see it best.
