Medun
An Illyrian hill town
About Medun
Medun, about 13 km north-east of Podgorica, is the site of Meteon, an ancient Illyrian fortified town of the 4th and 3rd centuries BC, with massive walls on a rocky hill. The village is also the birthplace of Marko Miljanov, the Kuči chieftain and writer, whose house is a museum. Go late in the afternoon for the light over the valley.
