Sastavci & the Stone Bridge (Skaline)
Podgorica’s oldest bridge
About Sastavci & the Stone Bridge (Skaline)
Where the Ribnica flows into the Morača, at the spot old Podgoricans call Sastavci, a small single-arch bridge of river stone crosses the water. It is believed to be Roman and is the oldest bridge in the city, one of the few traces of the ancient town that once stood here. Younger Podgoricans call the steps around it Skaline and meet there on summer evenings. Our advice: come at sunset, when the light turns the river gold.
